Tryon Distributing of Charlotte has been named the Craft Beer Wholesaler of the Year by the Brewers Association. The award was presented May 1 at the Craft Brewers Conference in Nashville, TN. The award recognizes an American beer distributor who goes above and beyond in their efforts to actively, market, sell and promote beer from small and independent brewers. Tryon is a first-generation distributor of craft beer and wine products. It’s a first-generation company founded by Brad Johnston and Tryon recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Tryon employs more than 200 people across the state.
